My husband and I decided to collaborate on a painting back in January 8, 2015. He loves to paint in the abstract, where I require some kind of “something” to base on painting around. I am definitely more of a “concrete” to his “abstract” thinking style, but we knew we could put together something beautiful.
This Alice in Wonderland “Drink Me” painting is one such collaboration. My husband painted the background with a variety of colors, a round sponge brush, and water, of all things! I drew on and then painted the Alice in a bottle with the “Drink Me” tag.
I love how this painting makes me feel. It takes me right back to how the confused, frightened, and slightly exhilarated feeling that Alice had when she became so small she fell into the bottle. 🙂
